Goosebumps: The Game is being delisted next week

It’s unfortunately become far too commonplace for video games to be delisted from digital store fronts, with the likes of EA’s Project Cars 3 having had its ‘big’ announcement just a few days ago. The delistings don’t end there however, with 2015’s Goosebumps: The Game set to be the latest victim of this trend.

Making the highly blunt announcement via their Steam page, publisher Gamemill Entertainment released a brief-yet-direct statement regarding Goosebumps: The Game, simply writing: “This game will be removed from sale on August 8, 2025” with no further explanation.

For the uninitiated, Goosebumps: The Game was a throwback to the 90s point-and-click genre of adventure titles, based on the popular children’s horror novel series of the same name.

While no reason was given for its upcoming delisting, the most likely explanation is that the publisher (Gamemill) had signed a 10 year agreement for the game – an agreement which is set to lapse this upcoming October.

Though far from the most revered game in the world, it is still sad to see yet another title being wiped from digital store fronts.

Hopefully the team offers some sort of explanation in the coming week – for the sake of clarity if nothing else.
