Forza Horizon 5 marks one of the biggest first-party Xbox games to come to PS5, with the open-world racing title set to drop onto Sony’s system later this month. Ahead of this, the game has broken one final player count barrier – surpassing a total of 45 million players.
As shared by ‘VGT Gaming News’ via BlueSky, Forza Horizon 5 has officially reached a new player milestone with over 45 million players.
For context, since its launch back in 2021, Horizon 5 quickly sped past 15 million players in just two months. This then increased to 28 million total within 15 months – later being pushed to over 32 million by August of 2023.
Of course, as with all first-party Microsoft titles, total players does not equate to total copies sold, with Microsoft-published games being a day-one addition to Game Pass.
All that said, with a total user base now established, it will be interesting to see how quickly following the PS5 version’s launch that Forza Horizon 5 grows to 50 million players total.
