Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Valley of Memory free DLC showcase announced

After multiple RPG-styled Assassin’s Creed entries, 2023’s AC: Mirage represented a breath of fresh air for the long-running franchise – focusing more on stealth and the classic Assassin’s Creed gameplay loop. Despite the release of ‘Shadows’ back in February, Ubisoft announced that Mirage would be getting a free DLC later this year. Alongside a teaser cinematic, Ubisoft has now confirmed that “Valley of Memory” will be unveiled later today.

Releasing a teaser trailer to its YouTube channel, Ubisoft confirmed that it will fully reveal the free Assassin's Creed Mirage: Valley of Memory DLC later today at 6PM UK time, writing: “Celebrate the two-year anniversary of Assassin’s Creed Mirage with the reveal of Valley of Memory—a free major update.”

Little else has been shared regarding the update, with the only known details currently being that it will offer a “new story chapter and missions set in 9th century alUla, an ancient city located in Saudi Arabia.”

This free DLC is interesting as it arrives in the wake of Ubisoft’s alleged deal with Saudi Arabia and its Public Investment Fund. Given that the DLC will be set in Saudi Arabia, it will be curious to see how the content is handled. We won’t have to wait long to find out.
