Earlier this year, we heard from a number of readers who had issues obtaining their paid-for product after pre-ordering RTX 5090 graphics cards from uwgamespecialist.nl, a tech retailer in the Netherlands. Following our initial report, the CEO of uwgamespecialist claimed that an internal investigation would be launched but by July of this year, we learned that the company was in fact still scamming customers. Now another couple of months later, the company appears to have shut down.

Last week, a dutch etailer caused quite a stir after telling RTX 5090 pre-order customers that they would have to wait longer for their graphics cards to arrive. Despite having units in stock, the store claimed that Nvidia had issued a recall of RTX 50 GPUs. We were quickly able to establish that no such recall is or was taking place, and now, customers who have been kept waiting for over a month are starting to get their graphics cards.

Regular readers of Kitguru will have seen news we published yesterday regarding dutch retailer Your Game Specialist. Today we wanted to follow up on this story after we received multiple emails from unhappy customers of the same etailer in overnight. Right now, we are working our way through the emails showing screenshots and communications with the etailer and while we need to be careful what we publish from a legal standpoint I felt it was worth addressing some potential concerns I have based on what has happened so far.
