Following their removal earlier this year, Sony is now bringing their fan-favourite PlayStation console themes back to PS5 via a firmware update.

Despite not adding proper support for themes, the PS5 is set to get a dozen new animated backgrounds for its Welcome Hub page.

Due to the highly-positive reception towards their introduction, Sony has promised to bring back its anniversary PS5 themes as a more permanent addition.

Celebrating the PlayStation’s 30th anniversary, you can now get 4 separate themes to use with your PS5 based on all previous console generations.
