Despite being announced five years ago, we've had no official updates for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake. Originally in development at Aspyr, the game ended up shifting to Saber Interactive, but progress has been painfully slow from the outside looking in. Now, thanks to a former concept artist on the project, we have at least a small look at what the game was going to look like. 

Following what seems to have been lacklustre sales, insiders are claiming that Ubisoft has now cancelled plans for a Star Wars: Outlaws sequel.

Last year, Ubisoft released Star Wars: Outlaws, the first open-world game set in a galaxy far, far away. Unfortunately, the game failed to meet publisher expectations. Explaining the reason for Outlaws’ lack of success, Ubisoft’s CEO blames the Star Wars brand for being “in a bit of choppy waters.”

Known for their middle-of-the-road output, Ubisoft has shown a commitment to making sweeping changes to its games post-launch. Unfortunately, the publisher appears to have neither the vision – nor the identity – in order to elevate its titles beyond just being “another Ubisoft game.”

As part of the game’s new DLC release, Star Wars Outlaws has received its latest Title Update 1.6, bringing a bunch of changes and improvements.
