Sony is currently locked in a legal battle with Tencent due to the latter’s announcement of Light of Motiram – an open world game which looks eerily similar to PlayStation’s Horizon Zero Dawn / Forbidden West franchise. Previous revelations from the lawsuit included the fact that Tencent had previously pitched a Horizon game to Sony – which the console maker rejected. That said, this wasn’t the only potential project, with the two companies at one point planning to work on a new game based on The Last of Us.

Just yesterday, we reported on the lawsuit filed by Sony against Tencent as a result of the announcement of their Horizon: Zero Dawn ‘clone’ Light of Motiram. As part of the filings, the console maker (who typically picks and chooses when to share game sales data) has revealed that PlayStation’s Horizon franchise is nearing 40 million copies sold.

Sony's unwarranted Horizon Zero Dawn remaster is launching later this week. Days ahead of release, we now have the detailed PC system requirements. 

Nixxes have called the upcoming Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster their “first big PlayStation content project,” suggesting further similar remasters are on the way.

Following months of leaks and rumours, Sony officially announced the remaster for its 2017 PS4 title Horizon Zero Dawn – set to come to PS5 and PC on the 31st of October. While there does exist a cheap upgrade path for those who already own the game, Sony appears to be attempting to block any loopholes, with the original game now being delisted from the Epic Games Store.

Sony has risen the price of Horizon Zero Dawn on the PlayStation Store ahead of the upcoming remaster, in part due to the $10 upgrade.
