Following the conclusion of its beta, Treyarch have confirmed that Black Ops 7 is bringing back persistent lobbies while reducing skill-based matchmaking.

Ahead of BO7’s launch, Treyarch have announced that a free trial for Black Ops 6 is going live later today – featuring pretty much all of the game’s content.

Following years of outcry, the Black Ops 7 beta has introduced a new playlist in which “skill consideration is drastically reduced when matchmaking.”

While sentiment surrounding Call of Duty is far from the greatest it’s been, the teams at Activision and Treyarch are trucking along with their reveal plans for the upcoming Black Ops 7. Ahead of the game’s big blowout COD NEXT event, Treyarch have now offered a deep-dive look into BO7’s multiplayer.

In a move which will delight some, while disappointing others, Black Ops 7 will no longer carry forward any of the weapons or operators from Black Ops 6.

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 is taking in an interesting direction for its story, with the campaign mode set to be integrated into the game's meta-progression.

Many of Call of Duty Black Ops 7’s gameplay changes have leaked ahead of time, confirming the return of looping killstreaks, the removal of tac-sprint and more.
