Gearbox has teased its first DLC Vault Hunter for Borderlands 4 – with the luck-based 'C4SH' set to arrive in Q1 of 2026.

Borderlands 4 may very well be the best entry in the much-loved looter-shooter franchise. Unfortunately, the game stumbled out of the gate somewhat with a plethora of optimisation issues, performance woes, bugs and a lack of options on console. Though there is still work to be done, Gearbox have now released their first big post-launch patch, introducing stability and performance improvements, refinements, and an FOV slider on console.

The Borderlands series pretty much invented the looter-shooter genre when the first entry in the now ubiquitous franchise launched all the way back in 2009. Two console generations and over 15 years later, Borderlands 4 is finally upon us, bringing with it more freedom, replayability – and of course – loot than ever before. That said, in amongst all of the sequel’s many changes and improvements, by far the most impactful is its overhaul to movement.

Borderlands 4 marks the next major entry in the long-running looter shooter series, with the progenitor of the sub-genre set to launch their successor in just under two weeks’ time. While the game already features plenty of content to look forward to on day-one, the team at Gearbox have now detailed the post-launch roadmap for Borderlands 4.
