To test the XN5004T we used four 6TB WD Red drives (WD60EFRX, 5,400rpm class, 64MB cache), built into RAID arrays 0, 5,6 and 10 and then tested using a 1GbE connection. Our review sample came with a 10GbE card installed in the PCIe slot, so we also tested the XN5004T using this 10GbE connection.

To test at 10GbE we used an Asus ASUS XG-C100C card and a Cat7 cable.
