Acer launches its largest ultra-wide monitor yet

This week, Acer has launched its largest ultra-wide monitor yet with the XR382CQK, a 37.5-inch IPS panel offering all the benefits of the 21:9 aspect ratio and the added immersion of a curved design. It even comes with Adaptive Sync, so those who like to be productive but also play some games will benefit from additional smoothness.

Obviously, this 37.5-inch monitor wouldn't be all that great if it was sporting a 1080p resolution, fortunately though that isn't the case here. This is a 3440×1600 monitor with a 2300R curvature and 75Hz refresh rate, giving you the goods for productivity as well as some extra features that would benefit gamers.

Here are the full specifications:

  • 37.5-inch UltraWide QHD (3440 x 1600) 2300R Curved Widescreen with Adaptive Sync Technology.
  • In-plane Switching (IPS) Technology.
  • Refresh Rate: 75Hz – Using Display Port.
  • Response Time: 5ms.
  • 1.07 Billion Colours, 100% sRGB coverage, and 6-axis colour adjustment.
  • EyeProtect Flicker-less and Blue-light Filtering technology.
  • PiP and PBP modes.
  • Two built-in 7W DTS Sound speakers.
  • Signal Inputs: 1 x Display Port, 1 x Mini Display Port, 1 x Display Port Out, 1 x HDMI 2.0 & 1 x MHL 2.1 (1x DP and 1x HDMI cable provided).
  • USB 3.0 hub (4 ports) with 1 x USB Type-C Cable provided.

The mount here supports height adjustment, swivel and tilt but if you have a preferred monitor arm, then this is also VESA mount compatible. This new monitor should be hitting store shelves soon but it will cost quite a bit, with a $1300 price tag.

KitGuru Says: This looks like quite a decent monitor, though it is a tad too high-end for me. Also as a multi-monitor user, I'm not sure I would even have enough room on my desk. Are any of you looking to pick up a new monitor this year? Are you thinking of going for an ultra-wide, or are you looking into other options?

  1. The monitor I fell in love with. Hurry AMD! Release VEGA 10 so that I can buy this monitor and feed it 75FPS with beautiful graphics! PLEASE! Do it! Release your best GPU! BEAT THE GTX 1080Ti and gimme ~4K graphics in Star Citizen, ME Andromeda, The Witcher 3 and many more games to come! This would look like a gorgeous investment for both my gaming and programming purposes 🙂 Lots of space, lots of FOV, Great PPI ratio of 110….I can’t ask for more. I guess the next monitor after this one, I will look for a 4K 144Hz.
