NuPhy expands Halo V2 keyboard line with new 65% model

Following the successful launch of the popular Halo75 V2, NuPhy has now released its smaller sibling, the Halo65 V2. This new 65% wireless mechanical keyboard adopts the brand's latest design philosophy, bringing a host of enthusiast-grade upgrades, including full QMK/VIA support, a pleasing sound profile, hotswap support, and various options for mechanical switches.

As first reported by TechPowerUP, the Halo65 V2 has been packed with features to improve the typing sound and feel. The keyboard has a PCB gasket mount design, housed within a chassis that combines a CNC-machined aluminium top frame with a translucent PC bottom case. To minimise unwanted noise and ping, it inherits the six-layer acoustic dampening system from the high-end Gem80 and NuPhy's silicone-dampened “GhostBar” space bar.

NuPhy is also moving away from the old KOP keycaps for the Halo65 V2, now featuring the company's double-shot PBT keycaps in an mSA profile. The board is offered with a choice of four NuPhy's exclusive Gateron-made 5-pin switches, including Mint and Raspberry linear switches, Lemon tactile switches, and the Blush Max silent switches. Note that the board remains fully hot-swappable, supporting both 3-pin and 5-pin MX-style switches.

The keyboard offers versatile tri-mode connectivity with a 1000 Hz polling rate in both wired and 2.4G modes, plus Bluetooth 5.0 for multi-device pairing. A 4,000 mAh battery provides up to 240 hours of use with the backlighting off. Additionally, the keyboard supports QMK/VIA, providing users with complete control over key remapping, layers, and macros. The NuPhy Halo65 V2 is now available for order in five different colours, including the new white, blue, pink, green, and black, with a starting price of $119.95.
