MSI has launched the Strike Pro Wireless, a new mechanical keyboard that aims to deliver professional-level performance without all the noise. Designed for gamers and power users, the new board is packed with sound-dampening features and quiet tactile switches for a more silent operation.
Taking centre stage on the keyboard's stealthy design are Kailh's Midnight Pro Silent tactile switches, which are rated for 70 million keystrokes and promise a satisfying bump without the loud clack typically associated with mechanical switches. To further reduce noise, MSI has built the chassis with a multi-layer dampening system, incorporating internal gaskets and muffler pads to absorb vibrations and eliminate the metallic ping present in many keyboards.
The Strike Pro Wireless is quite customisable, as expected from a high-end keyboard such as this. It features 5-pin hot-swappable sockets, allowing users to easily swap in their preferred MX-style switches without soldering. The board also includes three programmable ‘M keys' for macros and shortcuts, alongside a full suite of dedicated media keys and an intelligent scroll wheel for volume and other controls.
The keyboard offers versatile tri-mode connectivity, with options for low-latency 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and a wired USB-C connection. Moreover, it's powered by a high-capacity 4200 mAh battery, which MSI claims can last for up to 1500 hours. When it does need a top-up, it uses a clever magnetic USB-C adapter, which makes connecting the charging cable quick and easy and should prevent any damage to the port. Rounding out the premium package is an included magnetic memory foam wrist rest. The MSI Strike Pro Wireless is now available to purchase for $169.99.
