Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 teased for Switch 2

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has quickly risen to be one of the most critically acclaimed games of the year. The game is already available on PC, PS5 and Xbox, but a Switch 2 version could be next in line.

Speaking in an interview (via Eurogamer), Expedition 33 director, Guillaume Broche, teased a Switch 2 version of the game, saying that the massive success of the game has opened up new doors, adding that a Switch 2 version of the game “could be interesting”.

While the Switch 2 is a significant power upgrade from the Switch 1, as the console has yet to release, we've yet to see how well the hardware handles many current-gen third-party games, particularly those built on Unreal Engine 5.

Pre-release hands-on demos of Cyberpunk 2077 running on the console did look good, but we won't know how easy it will be for current-gen projects to include the Switch 2 in development plans until the console has spent some time on the market and we have a broader sample size.
