Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti specifications leaked alongside a picture of the GA102-225 GPU

The rumour mill has been pointing to an RTX 3080 Ti launch next month and now, there is a bit more evidence for this. This week, the first picture of the GA102-225 GPU leaked online, in addition to new information on specs and performance.

The picture and specifications of the RTX 3080 Ti GPU shared by VideoCardz confirm some of the rumours we've seen these past few months. The picture confirms the use of the GA102-225 GPU, while the screenshot shows that the GPU will feature 10,240 CUDA cores. The screenshot also shows that the RTX 3080 Ti will come with 12GB of GDDR6X memory clocked at 19Gbps across a 384-bit bus.

The base clock and boost clock frequencies have also been confirmed by GPU-Z. The base clock will be set at 1365MHz and the boost clock at 1665MHz. These are lower than that of a stock RTX 3080 and 3090. If Nvidia had clocked the RTX 3080 Ti higher, it would probably threaten its own flagship card. Once overclocked, it should reach similar speeds.

It's important to note that the screenshot shows us the Ethereum mining performance of the RTX 3080 Ti. Considering the reported 118.9MH/s at 278W, we would say that this particular early sample does not feature a limiter, but the retail version should. The memory was overclocked to 21.4Gbps, a 2.4Gbps increase over the reference value.

KitGuru says: Miners would probably love to build mining rigs with RTX 3080 Ti cards, but if Nvidia ships them with the mining limiter, that's surely a no go. Maybe this way, gamers will be a bit luckier in grabbing one for themselves. Are you hoping to get one?

KitGuru Games: The Duality of Call of Duty

A franchise as big as Call of Duty will always be hampered by its own size, with the series having its hands tied left and right so as to not deviate too far from what has made Activision (now Microsoft) Billions on an annual basis. The most recent Black Ops 6 is in some ways the best entry in the franchise, and in other ways, the worst. With Black Ops 7 coming around the corner, the team at Treyarch seem to be saying and doing all the right things in the lead-up to its release. Unfortunately, the duality of Call of Duty ensures that no future entry will ever truly be the best it can.
