Aya Neo 2021 Pro aims to take on Steam Deck with Ryzen 7 4800U APU

Following the successful campaign of the Aya Neo 2021, the company has decided to launch an upgraded model – the Aya Neo 2021 Pro. Priced a little higher than the original Aya Neo, the Pro models will start at $1215 ($1315 for the Retro Edition) and features a Ryzen 7 4800U.

Powered by an 8 cores and 16 threads, the Ryzen 7 4800U APU can boost up to 4.2GHz, a 200MHz increase over the 6C/12T Ryzen 5 4500U featured in the Aya Neo 2021. The iGPU uses Vega 8 graphics cores, packing two extra CUs and offering a 250MHz clock increase over the one used by the previous generation.

Both models will feature either a 1TB or a 2TB SSD, but the latter is currently out of stock. Besides the APU and storage changes, all other specifications are mostly the same, including the analogue triggers, the new wireless NIC and improved cooling that came with the Aya Neo 2021.

Those wondering about the difference between the standard Pro model and the Retro Power Edition should know the latter will include a pack of accessories, an NES-like retro theme, and a docking station with the same theme as the console. Additionally, users may also buy a 108W charger and a mechanical keyboard following the same NES theme to complete their setup.

The Aya Neo 2021 Pro will be priced at $1215 with 1TB of storage, and the Retro Power Edition with 1TB starts at $1315. The price of the 2TB models has not been disclosed.
