Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is getting free DLC

For over a decade, Ubisoft had pretty much ignored the Prince of Persia franchise in favour of Assassin’s Creed. Released just over a month ago, Prince of Persia The Lost Crown reinvented the franchise as a metroidvania – to great success. Now, the team have promised that the game will be getting free updates over the year.

Making the announcement via a video on Twitter, The Lost Crown’s Game Director Mounir Radi thanked fans for the positive reception towards the game, saying: “It means the world to us seeing you enjoy your time with the game just as much as we do. Which is why I’m especially pleased to let you know that we are far from being done.”

Radi continued, “We’ve got some cool plans for the coming months. These plans include free updates, adding more content and modes. Modes for you to challenge, explore and enjoy.”

The first of these updates is said to be coming “soon” and will likely focus quite heavily on combat. Considering the fact that The Lost Crown is the 2nd highest rated Prince of Persia game of all time, it is exciting to see more content being added – especially for free.
