Battlefield 2042 is getting a new time-limited event

While EA/DICE have officially moved on from Battlefield 2042 in favour of its in-development sequel, the multiplayer FPS is still getting some updates – albeit much smaller in scope. In alignment with the Halloween season, Battlefield 2042 is getting a new time-limited mode known as ‘Circle of Hell’.

Taking place between the 29th of October and the 26th of November, the Circle of Hell game mode will bring alternate forms of the typical Battlefield experience, “from increased lethality, limited HUD, more risks, and even higher stakes – this hardcore horror themed mode leaves no trace of forgiveness.”

Alongside new hardcore versions of Conquest, Rush and Breakthrough, the limited-time mode will also introduce a new event pass with 30 tiers to unlock as well as bringing the iconic M1 Garand from the portal mode to 2042 proper.

Last but not least, Battle of the Bulge and El Alamein are both set to get visual updates – making them more horror themed.

While certainly a rather small update, the upcoming event will bring more to the game than previously expected – especially given the fact that DICE announced they were moving away for 2042.

KitGuru says: What do you think of the upcoming event? Will you take part in it? Should DICE stop all support for 2042, or do you appreciate these themed seasonal updates? Let us know down below.
