Back in July, Ubisoft shocked many when they announced that 2023’s Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora would be getting a massive free update later this year, adding a 3rd person mode, new game plus and more. Alongside this major upcoming update, Ubisoft has now announced ‘From the Ashes’ – a story expansion launching on the same day as Avatar 3.
Publishing a cinematic-focused reveal trailer, Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment officially announced Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – From the Ashes; a story focused expansion in which you “follow So'lek's journey against a ruthless and unexpected enemy.”
As mentioned, the DLC is set to arrive on the same day as Avatar: Fire and Ash; the 19th of December. No price has been given for this expansion as of yet.
Those not wanting to splash any cash out for the expansion however still have plenty to look forward to, with arguably the biggest additions being offered for free.
As mentioned, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is set to receive a massive free update a few weeks ahead of the expansion, introducing a brand new 3rd-person mode; New Game Plus with additional skill trees; and other quality of life improvements.
The 3rd-person update will go live on the 5th of December, giving you two weeks to replay the game (or experience it for the first time) in this perspective before hopping into the DLC.
