Assassin’s Creed Shadows gives first look at gameplay ahead of Ubisoft Showcase

Last month, Ubisoft officially lifted the curtains on Assassin’s Creed Shadows with a flashy cinematic teaser, giving us our first look at the world – but no gameplay. While a full deep-dive is expected at Ubisoft’s upcoming showcase, a hint of the game’s new mechanics were shared during Xbox’s Game Showcase.

Ahead of the upcoming Ubisoft Forward event which is taking place later today, the publisher shared a brief but exciting look at gameplay for Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

As is typical for this franchise, the gameplay itself featured adjusted and altered camera angles, but the character’s movements and actions all appeared to be part of the actual gameplay.

Fans were given a tease at the two main playable characters alongside their unique traits, with differing gameplay styles for the ninja and samurai – alongside some of their preferred weapons.

As mentioned, this is but a tease of the game, with Ubisoft promising “a 13 minute gameplay walkthrough” at its showcase. Hopefully it’ll impress; we won’t have to wait long to find out.

KitGuru says: What do you think of the gameplay tease? Will it play differently to other AC games? What was your favourite 3rd party game at the Xbox Showcase? Let us know down below.
