Samsung to release 55 and 65 inch 4K LED TV’s in June

Samsung highlighted their new LED range of 4K UHD televisions at CES this year – showcasing their 85 inch model. The company have announced that they will be bringing 55 inch and 65 inch models to market next month.

Samsung have said these televisions will feature their Smart TV upgrade platform which allows the user to connect a ‘Samsung Evolution Kit' and refresh the device every year. You can enjoy the new features without having to buy a new set each year.

The new televisions will also handle upscaling so standard 1080p content will appear sharp. The 4K models will also feature ‘Micro Dimming Ultimate' technology. This technology will analyse the screen and optimise the LED backlight in real time. This will give blacker blacks and whiter whites.

Samsung didn't announce the pricing of the 55 inch and 65 inch screens, but the 85 inch model is priced at $39,999. No news on UK pricing yet either.

Kitguru says: be prepared to pay a lot of cash for these new screens.
