Corsair Makr75 Keyboard Review

Rating: 8.5.

The Makr75 from Corsair is easily the company's most customisable and DIY-friendly keyboard to date. Using their web-based keyboard builder you can set up a keyboard that’s perfect for your tastes, choosing from a selection of switches, plates, connectivity options and keycaps to ‘MAKR' your dream keyboard. Coming in at roughly £300 when you go all in, though, can the Makr75 deliver the quality to match its premium price tag?

You can buy the Makr75 keyboard directly from Corsair starting at £159.99 for the barebones kit HERE.

Pros:

  • Excellent build quality.
  • Great typing acoustics and feel.
  • Easy to disassemble and reassemble.
  • Premium materials used all around.
  • Web based configuration (still in beta but coming soon).

Cons:

  • Expensive when fully kitted out with both add-on modules and switches/keycaps.
  • Parts will cost more if you order them separately.
  • RGB is patchy in places due to north facing LEDs.

KitGuru says: The Makr75 is the best keyboard we've tested from Corsair to date. While it is expensive for the full kit, it backs that up with rock solid build quality and a great typing experience. The increase in pricing if ordering add-ons/modules at a later date does go against what the keyboard stands for, though.
