Turtle Beach has announced two new high-performance peripherals. However, enthusiasts will immediately recognise the names and the technology within, as the company is launching a new Turtle Beach Vulcan II TKL keyboard and a Turtle Beach Burst II Pro mouse, effectively absorbing the popular product lines from its subsidiary, Roccat, under the main Turtle Beach brand.
The new Vulcan II TKL is a compact tenkeyless mechanical keyboard that brings a host of fan-favourite Roccat features under its new banner. It features hot-swappable and pre-lubed Titan HS mechanical switches, a brushed aluminium top plate, and internal sound-dampening foam. It's also fully integrated with the new “Swarm II” software, supporting AIMO intelligent lighting and the Easy-Shift[+] key duplicator function.
Joining the keyboard is the Burst II Pro, a lightweight wireless esports mouse. With just 57 g, this symmetrical mouse is packed with top-tier technology, including an 8 kHz wireless polling rate for low latency, a 30K DPI “Owl-Eye” optical sensor with a 750 IPS tracking speed, and Titan Optical Switches rated for 100 million clicks. Battery life is rated at 40 hours when running at the full 8 kHz polling rate and 150 hours running at a 1 kHz rate. In the package, Turtle Beach also included grip tape, a USB-C PhantomFlex 8K cable, and a variety of skates, including PTFE, 8-dot dome PTFE, and 8-dot UHMW-PE.
The Turtle Beach Vulcan II TKL is available for pre-order today for £89.99/$119.99/€99.99, while the Burst II Pro mouse (black and white models available) is up for pre-order at £119.99/$139.99/€129.99. Both are scheduled for a retail launch on October 13th.
