Cherry, the company synonymous with mechanical switches, has today launched a new range of wireless keyboards aimed at the professional and home office market. The new lineup ditches the aggressive RGB and loud designs of gaming keyboards, instead focusing on a quiet, comfortable typing experience, premium features, and a sleek, workplace-friendly aesthetic.
Leading the new series are the KW 300 MX and KW 300W MX. These boards feature a compact 82-key layout and are among the first to use Cherry's latest MX2A switches inside a quiet, insulated shell for a dampened sound profile. For enthusiasts, the sockets are hot-swappable, allowing for easy switch replacement, and the keycaps are PBT. Both offer wireless connectivity and simple, dimmable white backlighting.
For those who prefer a slimmer profile, Cherry is also offering two distinct options. The KW 550 MX LP uses the new MX Low Profile 2.0 switches to achieve a height of less than 22 mm in a 96% layout, retaining a numpad in a more compact form factor. Alternatively, the premium KW X ULP 2.0 Mini is a 75% board that uses Cherry's ultra-low-profile mechanical switches and an aluminium top plate for a thin yet rigid design. This model also boasts triple-mode connectivity and comes with a travel bag, making it ideal for mobile professionals.
All four models are now available, with the KW 300 MX priced at £95.36, the KW 300W MX at £119, the KW 550 MX LP at £99, and the KW X ULP 2.0 Mini at £189.
