AlienWare M18x will have dual GPU options

Rumours on the grapevine suggest that Alienware are planning to release the M18x, complete with dual nVidia Sli or ATi CrossfireX options.

Alienware laptops prove popular with the wealthier enthusiast audience who want a high performance machine with a unique design. The high end series never boasts incredible battery life or low acoustics, but if you want a powerful gaming machine laptop then there are few mainstream options which look and perform as well.

The upcoming M18x will be an 18.4 inch model with a 1080p screen with LED backlighting and Truelife glossy screen coating, it will be available with black or red trim. The battery is going to be a formidable 12 cell 97Wh unit.

For all you gamers, this machine is certainly not going to be lacking with either a pair of Nvidia GTX 460 M in SLI, or a pair of AMD 6970 M in CrossfireX installed.

KitGuru says: Pricing and release information is not yet in official channels, but you can expect it to be rather expensive.
