Samsung Galaxy Note II rumoured for unveiling next month

If rumours have their way then Samsung's Galaxy Note II, the successor to the 5.3 inch smartphone/tablet , will be unveiled at IFA Berlin late next month. The conference begins on the 31st of August and according to the Korean publication MK Business News it will hit store shelves in October.

Apparently the screen size will be bumped up to 5.5 inches from 5.3 in the current Note, and will presumably come with a higher resolution. All of this will be contained within the dimensions of its predecessor. Considering the Note was essentially a Galaxy S II with a larger screen size, we can vaguely assume the Note II will have the same quad core Exynos processor as the Galaxy S III. It may also include a 12 MP camera.

The Note II will likely launch with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, but if it launches with Android 4.0 instead then an update shouldn't be far away.

KitGuru says: 5.5 inches is just too big for use as a phone.
