Will Apple introduce multitouch gestures on iPhone?

Leaked screenshots have appeared online showing that Apple may be introducing new multitouch gestures on iOS.

The image shows that multitasking gestures can be enabled or disabled and underneath it details that four or five fingers can be used to pinch to the homescreen, swipe up to reveal the multitasking bar, and even swipe left or right between applications. In theory it sounds great, but the iPhone screen is rather small so whether it will be completely intuitive or not is a topic for another day.

No details have yet emerged as to the planned update schedule, and as always Apple have yet to confirm the claims as accurate.

  1. how can you swipe with 5 fingers across an iphone screen: this has to be a joke. no way apple would try that.
