Elden Ring Nightreign to get new high-difficulty mode next month

Elden Ring Nightreign is one of FromSoftware’s more interesting releases, with the multiplayer-focused rogue-like receiving far more post-launch support than any of their previous projects. Following the addition of a two-player co-op mode back in July, the team at FromSoftware have now announced a new “high-difficulty Expedition mode” set to arrive next month.

Making the announcement on their blog, the Bandai Namco ‘Marketing Team’ officially unveiled their new ‘Deep of Night’ difficulty mode.

Described as “a high-difficulty challenge mode designed for seasoned players who have navigated through the Night many times,” Deep of Night launches on the 11th of September and will feature enemies which are “stronger than usual.”

Beyond this, the new mode won’t allow you to pick your target Nightlord; will include some special unique ‘Depth Relics’ and will feature weapons with “multiple additional, but also detrimental effects.”

Last but certainly not least, the Deep of Night expedition includes a sliding difficulty scale in which “the difficulty increases the deeper you descend. The ratings will fluctuate based on wins and losses, affecting the depth.”

Full details on the Deep of Night Expedition mode (including additional specifics on each of the depths’ levels) can be found HERE.
