Black Ops 7 Season 1 adds 6 multiplayer maps, 3 ‘Zombies’ experiences and more

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 was somewhat of a mixed bag, with the latest COD entry featuring excellent gameplay unfortunately hampered by less-than-stellar post-launch support. That said, with Black Ops 7 set to arrive in a few weeks’ time, the team at Treyarch have already started teasing their post-launch plans for the game – showcasing a rather substantial Season 1.

Taking to Twitter to make the announcement, the team at Treyarch have started to tease their initial post-launch plans for Black Ops 7, writing: “The biggest year in Black Ops history starts with BO7 launch, and it's just the beginning. Season 01 will be our most massive season yet.”

Though yet to be fully detailed, Treyarch have shared the list of maps arriving post-launch, including:

  • Nuketown 2025 (20th of November)
  • 6 additional multiplayer maps (Season 1)
    • Fate
    • Utopia
    • Odysseus
    • Standoff
    • Meltdown
    • Yakei
  • 7 weapons (Season 1)
  • New large Zombies map ‘Astra Malorum’ (Season 1)
  • Two Zombies Survival maps (Season 1)
    • Exit 115
    • Zarya Cosmodrome

Black Ops 7 Season 1

Of course, expect Season 1 to bring with it far more than just these maps, with other additional content likely including new weapons; game modes; cosmetics; perks and more.

While Black Ops 6 was clearly impacted somewhat by the concurrent development of BO7, hopefully Treyarch can put all of their focus into the upcoming title’s post-launch support thanks to them now being freed from working on two projects at the same time.
