Xbox has two ‘unannounced’ cross-platform games planned for 2026

2026 is shaping up to be a pretty big year for Xbox, with the long-awaited Fable reboot set to drop, as well as a new Gears of War title. It turns out, there is more on the way, with two major ‘unannounced' games confirmed for next year.

An Xbox producer updated their online CV (via The Gamer) with the mention of two ‘unannounced cross-platform titles' for 2026. Currently, games like Fable and Gears E-Day are not confirmed for platforms outside of Xbox and PC, so it could be that Microsoft is indeed moving to day-and-date releases on PS5 from next year.

The ‘unannounced' part of this is most interesting though, as it is unclear if it means truly unannounced games, or previously announced games that have yet to be confirmed for PS5 or Switch 2.

Current rumours point to titles like State of Decay 3 and a new Halo game being announced next year. Microsoft has also previously confirmed plans to bring future COD games to the Switch platform. The Switch 2 released too late in the year for Black Ops 7 to launch on the system, but next year's game should be a different story.

KitGuru Says: What games do you think Microsoft will make multiplatform next? Halo has been at the top of the rumour list for a long time, perhaps next year will be the year.
