Latest Nvidia driver brings optimisations for DOOM: The Dark Ages

DOOM: The Dark Ages launches this week and Nvidia is getting PC gamers prepared with a new Game Ready Driver. The new GeForce graphics driver is now available, promising optimisations for DOOM: The Dark Ages, and bringing DLSS support to a bunch of new games.

DOOM: The Dark Ages makes use of the idTech 8 engine, with support for ray tracing, DLSS, Multi-Frame Generation and more. Sometime after launch, there will be a patch for the PC version of the game introducing Path Tracing, a more intensive version of ray-tracing.

Aside from optimisations for DOOM, the new GeForce driver adds DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Gen support for New World: Aeternum. On top of that, Nvidia has expanded DLSS Override. This feature allows gamers to force enable DLSS for titles that don't already support DLSS. It can also be useful for games that utilise an outdated version of DLSS – force enabling the latest version of the technology can improve visuals and performance.
