While Randy Pitchford was quick to speak out against claims of performance problems in Borderlands 4, the actual development team has not had its head in the sand. In a new patch this week, Gearbox aims to address some of the more common crashing issues appearing for PC players.
The new update, which began rolling out on PC last night, addresses crashing issues tied to animation states, audio and collision checks, as well as ‘various GPU-related crashes'.
On the gameplay front, an issue stopping players from using the reward center has been fixed, and a progression blocker in the mission “Talk to Zadra” has been fixed. Naturally, Gearbox also fixed an issue that led to players finding ‘Gilded Glory Pack' guns in standard chests.
Moving forward, Gearbox will have weekly updates for Borderlands 4, which will include a bunch of refreshes to keep players coming back. These will include new Wildcard missions every week, as well as a rotating weekly Big Encore boss, which you can fight for a chance at higher tier rewards. The Black Market vending machine will also be refreshed each week with new items.
