Amazon Games reveals new MOBA ‘March of Giants’, opens up alpha sign-ups

Amazon Games has just revealed its next major project, a new free-to-play competitive title called March of Giants. Described as a 4v4 MOBA, the game is looking to put a new spin on the genre by having players control not just a powerful giant hero, but also an army of hundreds of troops on a dynamic battlefield.

Set in an alternate early 1900s world of magic and science, players will take control of giant heroes fighting in a large-scale conflict. Unlike traditional MOBAs, March of Giants will allow players to command large squads of soldiers. The game also features a “Battleworks” system, which enables players to construct tactical offensive and defensive structures in real time.

For those eager to get their hands on it, a closed alpha test is just around the corner, scheduled to run from September 2nd to September 10th. The alpha test will be conducted on Steam, but is currently limited to players in the US, Canada, and Mexico. Amazon has stated that they are specifically looking for experienced MOBA players to provide valuable feedback during this early phase.

Interestingly, the alpha will be subject to an NDA that prohibits any streaming or video capture, but participants will be allowed to discuss their experiences. So, while we won't see any gameplay footage, we can expect people sharing their impressions online once the test begins.
