New Intel Arc driver delivers up to 149 percent performance boost for Starfield

A Starfield patch earlier this week aimed to improve the game's stability on Intel Arc graphics cards but Intel's latest driver update brings the biggest performance improvements yet. The new Intel Arc graphics driver delivers up to 149 percent more performance in Starfield at 1440p, and a 117 percent improvement at 1080p.

If you are an Intel Arc user, Starfield should now run significantly better. At 1080p with Ultra settings, the game should see up to a 117% performance uplift and at 1440p with High settings, you should get up to 149% more performance. These are particularly huge gains and they've arrived at a good time too, as a new Intel graphics card is expected to launch soon, the Arc A580.

In Forza Motorsport, Arc users should see an 8% performance boost at 1080p with Ultra settings and finally, in F1 23, a 12% performance improvement is claimed at 1440p with Ultra settings and a 136% boost at 4K with Ultra settings.

Aside from these performance improvements, the new update also brings Game On support for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III beta, Total War: Pharoah and Lords of the Fallen. You can see the full release notes and download the driver, HERE.

KitGuru Says: Intel's drivers have come a long way since Arc's initial launch. With all of the work done over the past year, we would expect a smoother launch for Intel's next-gen Battle Mage GPUs.
