MSI will update all 400-series motherboards to support Ryzen 5000 CPUs

With the Ryzen 5000 series from AMD now officially on the way, motherboard makers are planning their BIOS updates for older motherboards. In the case of MSI, we have some good news, as the company has announced that all of its 400-series motherboards will support AMD's latest processors.

Not every motherboard manufacturer is going to include forwards compatibility for Ryzen 5000 on its 400-series motherboards. MSI won't be going down that route though.

“To respond to our users' anticipation, MSI is announcing that all 400 series motherboards, including X470 and B450, MAX, or non-MAX products, will provide BIOS updates later on that can support Ryzen 5000 processors”, MSI said.

MSI also adds that evaluation is currently in progress and we can expect a more detailed BIOS release schedule after code is provided by AMD.

KitGuru Says: It is great to see MSI committing to supporting its older generation boards. Are any of you planning to upgrade to a Ryzen 5000 series CPU soon? Will you be sticking to an older motherboard, or will you be picking up a new one?

KitGuru Games: The Duality of Call of Duty

A franchise as big as Call of Duty will always be hampered by its own size, with the series having its hands tied left and right so as to not deviate too far from what has made Activision (now Microsoft) Billions on an annual basis. The most recent Black Ops 6 is in some ways the best entry in the franchise, and in other ways, the worst. With Black Ops 7 coming around the corner, the team at Treyarch seem to be saying and doing all the right things in the lead-up to its release. Unfortunately, the duality of Call of Duty ensures that no future entry will ever truly be the best it can.
