Corsair showed us their Frame 4500X case at Computex and left us distinctly impressed. The stand-out feature is the main glass panel which covers both the front and right hand sides with an immaculate radius at the front corner. To add to our delight the glass can be removed with a single pull to provide access to your PC hardware. Watch our video and you will see exactly how Corsair has made us happy.
Main features
- Single-Piece Curved Glass Panel – The front and side panels of the case are formed from a single piece of laminated glass, providing a clear view of the internal components.
- Reverse-Rotor RGB Fans – The three 120mm fans installed to the right of the motherboard tray use a reverse-rotor design to direct airflow into the case while keeping the RGB lighting fully visible through the glass panel.
- FRAME Modular Case System – The FRAME system allows for modular upgrades and layout changes over time. The motherboard tray can be swapped, the side-mounted fan bracket can be replaced with a cable cover, and the PSU shroud can be exchanged for a version with vertical GPU mounting points.
- Cascading Industrial Design – The exterior features clean, layered lines that create a cascading effect across the side and top panels. These contours provide a distinctive look and generous airflow openings
- CORSAIR InfiniRail Fan Mounting System – This steel multi-point rail system allows for flexible fan placement along the top of the case. Simply slide the rails to mount 120mm or 140mm fans exactly where airflow is needed, without being limited to fixed mounting points.
- Reverse Connection Motherboard Support – Compatible with ASUS BTF, MSI Project Zero, and Gigabyte Project Stealth motherboards. The case includes dedicated cable cut-outs and tie-downs to help keep internal cable routing clean, even in areas that aren’t visible.
- Storage – Includes a drive tray that supports either one 3.5″ hard drive or two 2.5″ SSDs. The tray can be removed entirely to make space for fan controllers or additional cable storage.
- Solid GPU Support – Modern graphics cards are bigger and heavier than ever, which is why this case includes a GPU Anti-Sag bracket to help keep them level. The interior also provides enough clearance for the most powerful graphics cards and cooling setups.
- Handy Accessories Box – Keep extra screws in the included accessory box so you always know where they are when it’s time to upgrade.
- Fill It with Fans – The FRAME 4500X supports up to 10x 120mm fans, including three along the bottom of the case to direct airflow toward the GPU. Alternatively, up to 5x 140mm fans are supported for quieter, high-airflow configurations.
- Dual 360mm Radiator Support – Mounting locations on the roof and side panel next to the motherboard tray support twin 360mm radiators, giving builders flexibility for custom or all-in-one liquid cooling setups.
- Powerful RGB Fans Included – Depending on the model, the case includes either three 120mm iCUE LINK LX120-R or RS120-R ARGB reverse-rotor fans. LX120-R models also include the iCUE LINK System Hub, offering a streamlined path into the iCUE LINK ecosystem.

Testing
To put this case through its cooling paces we will be using a test system consisting of an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 and an SSD. This system allows us to effectively test the Corsair Frame 4500X‘s cooling capabilities.
Test System:
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- CPU Cooler: Corsair iCUE Link Titan 360 RX LCD
- Motherboard: Sapphire Nitro+ B850A WiFi7
- Memory: Corsair 32GB Vengeance DDR5 6800
- Graphics card: Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 9070
- Power supply: Corsair RM1000x Shift Gold
- SSD: Corsair 2TB MP600 Elite
- OS: Windows 11
Under full load, the CPU pulled 140 watts and ran at 75C, while the GPU pulled 245 watts and ran at 59C, with a 20C ambient temperature.
Closing Thoughts
In our video we show you the process as we build a test PC inside the Corsair Frame 4500X, and along the way we hit a handful of minor annoyances.
The emphasis there is on ‘minor' as the major parts of the job were straightforward. The motherboard went in easily and there is plenty of access to connect the various cables and then secure them in the right hand compartment. Most importantly of all, the 360mm AIO cooler went in the roof with ease and the hoses were a long way clear of any fans.
When we started the PC we were impressed by the RGB light show and were relieved the noise levels were quite reasonable. We had wondered how well the Frame 4500X would flow cooling air but the side mounted intake fans work very effectively and the cooler in the roof also worked well. The huge glass panel doesn't hurt cooling in the slightest and it helps the Frame 4500X to look absolutely fantastic.
MSRP for the Corsair Frame 4500X LX-R Link is £169.99.
Pros:
- Main panel of curved glass looks spectacular.
- Plenty of access for easy PC building.
- Rear expansion plate can be rotated for vertical GPU installation.
Cons:
- No cable management grommets provided.
- Build quality of the chassis feels flexy when the glass is removed.
- Graphics card installation was awkward.
