AMD CEO Dr Lisa Su will host CES 2026 opening keynote

Dr. Lisa Su is returning to the main stage at CES. The Consumer Technology Association has announced that AMD's CEO will deliver a keynote presentation at CES 2026. This is a major event for the tech calendar, as it's widely expected to be the venue for the first official reveal of AMD's next-generation CPU and GPU architectures.

In the press release, it's stated that Dr Lisa Su “will outline how the broad AMD portfolio of CPUs, GPUs, adaptive computing, and AI software and solutions empowers customers and partners to solve the world's most important challenges”. Based on AMD's known roadmaps, the timing is perfect for a first look at the Zen 6 architecture. We could also potentially get the first details on the next generation of Ryzen CPUs, including the desktop platform codenamed “Olympic Ridge” and the new mobile APU family codenamed “Medusa Point”.

On the graphics side, the keynote could be marked by the debut of the RDNA 5 GPU architecture. After a more mid-range-focused RDNA 4 generation with the Radeon RX 9000 series, enthusiasts will be keen to see what AMD has in store for its next major graphics overhaul and whether it plans to return to the high-end market. Of course, the presentation won't just be about consumer hardware. The official announcement suggests we will see updates on AMD's EPYC server processors and its Instinct AI accelerators.

You can tune in to see what Team Red has in store for the next generation on Monday, January 5th, with the keynote scheduled to go live at 11:30PM GMT.
