While sentiment surrounding Call of Duty is far from the greatest it’s been, the teams at Activision and Treyarch are trucking along with their reveal plans for the upcoming Black Ops 7. Ahead of the game’s big blowout COD NEXT event, Treyarch have now offered a deep-dive look into BO7’s multiplayer.
Releasing a ‘Multiplayer Gameplay Reveal Trailer’ alongside a lengthy blogpost, Treyarch has officially lifted the lid on what fans can expect from BO7’s multiplayer mode come launch on the 14th of November.
Some of the most notable additions include:
- New game mode Overload in which you “fight for possession of the Overload Device”
- 18 launch maps (16 6v6 and two 20v20 Skirmish maps)
- Two unique ‘overclock’ upgrades for all equipment
- New Field Upgrades
- New Specialist Wildcard for additional perks
- New Perks and Specialties
- Advanced weapon stat comparison
- Additional body shield interactions
- Refined camo unlock challenges
As mentioned, the blog post itself is incredibly lengthy and goes into detail on pretty much all aspects of the multiplayer mode, listing all of its maps; weapons; perks; field upgrades; equipment; game modes and much more.
While we will have to wait until the beta to find out how all of these changes come into play, based on what they have shared, Black Ops 7 is set to include a ton of content straight from launch. Hopefully we learn more about the Zombies mode next.
