Resident Evil 4 Remake is in the “final spurt” of development claims producer

To some, Resident Evil 4 is one of the most important video games in history, with the title influencing the horror genre for years following its 2005 release. Nearly 18 years later, the remake is set to launch in March 2023. With just a few months left, the developers have now claimed RE4 Remake to be in the “final spurt” of development.

As reported by Japanese magazine Famitsu (and translated by DualSHOCKERS), as part of an annual year-end interview series involving multiple studios, Resident Evil 4 Remake producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi discussed the near-future plans for Capcom, revealing that the team is “working hard to provide you with more information about Resident Evil RE:4 in preparation for its release on March 24th.”

Additionally, Hirabayashi claimed that RE4 Remake is “in the final spurt” of the development process, with fans needing to “wait just a little longer.”

In recent years Capcom has been on a roll in particular when it comes to the Resident Evil titles, with few games seeing any major delays or controversies. Though many fans expected this to continue, it is encouraging nonetheless to see the team confirm that development is going well – and that RE4 Remake will be in the hands of fans in just a few short months.
