Marvel Rivals gets Zombies PvE mode in time for Halloween

Marvel Rivals is getting its very first PvE event this week, taking inspiration from the Marvel Zombies spin-off comic.

Just in time for Halloween, this week, Marvel Rivals Zombies will drop, a new PvE mode to cap off the game's fourth season of content. In Marvel Rivals Zombies, players will team up in groups of four, playing as either Thor, Blade, Magik, Jeff the Shark or The Punisher to face hordes of deadly zombies, followed by a pair of bosses – Zombie Namor and Queen of the Dead.

You won't be playing as the normal versions of Thor, Blade, Magik, Jeff or The Punisher either. Each character has had their combat kit tweaked specifically for PvE gameplay. For instance, Thor's Awakened state if permanently active, Magik has unlimited access to the Darkchild form, Jess can charge through hordes of zombies, The Punisher can deploy turrets and Blade's Moon Blades can bounce between enemies.

The Marvel Rivals Zombies event begins on October 23rd. By playing, you can unlock limited-time cosmetic rewards for a range of characters, including Blade, Spider-Man and Scarlet Witch.

The event will end eventually, likely around the same time that Season 5 begins, which is scheduled for the 14th of November.
