Hideo Kojima struck gold once again earlier this year with the release of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Naturally, hardcore fans are already clamouring for more, but Kojima has other plans.
Kojima has been on a world tour, stopping off in countries all around the world to promote the new Death Stranding game. At a recent stop in Saudi Arabia, Kojima did comment on the possibility of Death Stranding 3, confirming that he has an idea for where the plot should go, but he doesn't want to be the one to make it.
As translated by Genki on X, Kojima is quoted as saying: “I am not planning to do that (DS3) at the moment. Because the ending of Death Stranding 2 was my finale of 1 and 2. But I already wrote the concept of DS3. I hope that someone will create it for me.”
Kojima Productions is currently juggling multiple new projects. In particular, Kojima is poised to develop a major new IP for the Xbox brand, a very interesting collaboration given Kojima's long-standing ties to Sony and PlayStation.

KitGuru Says: Kojima is constantly working on creative projects. Even if he isn't the lead director behind Death Stranding 3, he will no doubt contribute in other ways.
