Despite the success of the films, John Wick Hex is a game that flew completely under the radar after its release in 2019. The game started off as an Epic Games Store exclusive but eventually came to Steam and consoles in 2020. Now six years on, the game is being delisted.
Mike Bithell, a developer best known behind Thomas Was Alone and Volume was the creative visionary behind John Wick Hex. The game is a strategy game rather than a shooter, with levels based around carefully plotting Wick's movements to take out targets and avoid fire.
Unfortunately, as with any game based on a film property, the rights don't last forever. As a result, John Wick Hex will be removed from sale on all platforms on the 17th of July. Unfortunately, the developers left fans with very short notice and now, the game is no longer on sale at a discounted price, which it was just weeks ago during the Summer Sale. A lot of potential buyers likely would have pulled the trigger had this announcement been made just a bit sooner.

KitGuru Says: John Wick Hex is a fun little strategy game and it is a shame to see it being delisted. Perhaps it will return one day but given the success of the films, those franchise rights are not going to be cheap.
