Halo MCC: PC beta tests pushed back a bit

Back when the Halo: Master Chief Collection was first announced for PC, we heard that the first public tests wouldn't be too far off. At the time, the developers were targeting April and while at one point 343 Industries was confident that they would hit that goal, things didn't go entirely according to plan.

Brian ‘Ske7ch' Jarrard has been doing a good job at keeping communication up with Halo fans, especially with the mainline games making a grand return to PC after more than a decade. While Jarrard was initially optimistic that Halo Reach ‘flighting' would begin in April, the month has now come and gone, so we now have an update from him:

The first public tests for Halo Reach, presumably on both Xbox One and PC, are being pushed back further than initially intended. We don't have any details on what is causing the delays but during an update earlier this month, we did hear that Halo Reach needed some additional polish on PC before giving the public their first look.

We are told that more information will be shared soon, so hopefully we get an update within the next couple of weeks.

KitGuru Says: I was hoping that Halo Reach might be available before E3 so that we could start focusing on the remaining games in the roadmap but that scenario is looking very unlikely at this point. Still, from the sounds of it, we'll get some good information this month and then E3 will hopefully bring more details to the surface. In the meantime, make sure you have signed up to the Halo Insider program if you want to take part in the beta tests.
