GeForce Experience 1.8.1 is out now

The eagerly anticipated GeForce Experience 1.8.1 has just been released, bringing live Twitch Streaming to Shadowplay, meaning you can now broadcast your gameplay and commentary live to gamers worldwide without the need for any additional game capture hardware or software.

As far as frame rates go, there will still be minimal impact while using Shadowplay to stream to Twitch thanks to the H.264 hardware encoder which comes built in to all GPU's from the 600 and 700 series. Your frame rate won't be capped either, allowing you to stream at your PC's full potential.

Brooke Van Dusen, Director of Business Development at Twitch had a few words to say:

“Broadcasting to Twitch has become an integral part of the gaming experience.We're extremely excited to work with NVIDIA to make Twitch live streaming available to GeForce Experience users. ShadowPlay is revolutionary, providing high quality streams with almost no noticeable performance impact for our users.”

Earlier this month Nvidia had updated the Geforce Experience to version 1.8 which removed some restrictions that Windows 7 users had, like being limited to one 3.8GB file. The 1.8 update also allows for multi source audio recording which sets things up nicely for people doing commentaries over gameplay.
