Gamescom has continued to grow at a rapid pace in recent years. This year, the event broke records, with almost 360,000 attendees visiting the exhibition in Cologne, Germany.

As reported by VGC, Gamescom has confirmed that around 357,000 visitors came to the event this year, up from 335,000 the previous year. On top of that, Gamescom saw record high interest in booth space this year, with over 1,568 exhibitors traveling from 72 countries.

Gamescom: Opening Night Live, the livestream that kicks the whole event off, had record-high viewership this year too, with over 72 million views across the live show and the subsequent trailer uploads. This is up from 40 million viewers in 2024.

Gamescom 2026 has already been booked, with plans to take place in the same venue next year, but from slightly different dates – August 26th to August 30th.
