Capcom drops three new gameplay trailers for Monster Hunter Wilds

Capcom has surprised Monster Hunter fans today by dropping three new trailers for Monster Hunter Wilds. The next-generation Monster Hunter game is due out in 2025 and will be a big, high-fidelity game akin to Monster Hunter Worlds, rather than the more recent Monster Hunter: Rise. 

The three trailers offer up around three minutes of new footage combined. One trailer details the new Focus Mode, which allows hunters to see monster weak points, while another trailer covers basic mechanics, many of which veterans of the franchise will already be familiar with.

The final trailer, which you can see below, focuses on combat with the Great Sword, one of the many signature weapons in the Monster Hunter series. We should see more trailers focusing on other weapon types in the lead-up to Monster Hunter Wilds' release date.

Monster Hunter Wilds is coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S next year. There has been no Nintendo version of the game announced, but that could perhaps change a year or so down the line, as Nintendo is due to launch its next-generation console next year.
