Assassin's Creed Mirage released back in 2023, offering long-time fans of the series a return to the stealth-action gameplay mechanics of the original trilogy. We weren't expecting to hear much about this game again, but as it turns out, Ubisoft has been cooking up a major DLC update.
Assassin's Creed Mirage is getting a new DLC later this year and better yet, it will be free for all owners of the game. While we didn't get a full reveal, Ubisoft announced the update on social media this week, teasing a “new story chapter and missions set in 9th century alUla, an ancient city located in Saudi Arabia.
Aside from the new location, Ubisoft has also teased various gameplay improvements for the base game, so even if you don't plan on playing the new story content, you should see benefits from this update throughout the main campaign.
Assassin's Creed Mirage launched in October 2023, beginning life as an expansion to Assassin's Creed Valhalla, before expanding into its own standalone game, starring Basim, who players meet during Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
