Aliens: Fireteam Elite comes to PC and consoles in August

Back in March, Cold Iron Studios officially revealed Aliens: Fireteam Elite, promising a ‘Summer 2021' release window. Now, the three-player co-op shooter has a new trailer, as well as a final release date.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite, formerly known as just Aliens: Fireteam, is a third-person, squad-based survival shooter. It sounds a lot like Left 4 Dead with Xenomorphs on paper, but there are some other elements to it that set it apart. The game includes RPG elements in the form of character classes, skill trees and modifiable weapons, opening the door for character build experimentation. There are five character classes so far – gunner, demolisher, technician, doc and recon, each with their own abilities.

The game won't ship at a full $60, instead, the entry price is $39.99. However, there is a deluxe edition that includes four cosmetic DLC bundles, which costs $69.99. Whether you opt for the standard or deluxe edition, all pre-order customers get the ‘Hardened Marine Pack', which includes another set of skins and an emote.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite is releasing on the 24th of August for PC (Steam), Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4 and PS5.

KitGuru Says: This game has been in the works for six years, so it'll be interesting to finally get some hands on time with it. Are any of you planning on picking this one up?
