Fortnite’s next big collaboration is with Ferrari

Fortnite has already received numerous crossovers with various brands, games, movies, and series characters, celebrities, and artists, but no car company has ever featured in the famous battle royale game. That soon will change with the launch of Fortnite's first licensed car, the Ferrari 296 GTB.

When Epic Games introduced drivable cars to Fortnite in Chapter 2, Season 3, there were no licensed models. They were all just invented for the game, with most cars looking kind of goofy. Soon, Fortnite players will be able to drive a real car, the Ferrari 296 GTB, marking the launch of the first licensed car within the game.

The Ferrari 296 GTB is one of the latest creations of the Italian sports car manufacturer. Powered by a turbocharged V6 engine and an electric motor capable of generating up to 818HP, this supercar can easily cost over £200,000, which is about 35M V-Bucks give or take.

Ferrari has not always been on board with licensing its designs to video game companies. Back in the 90s and 2000s, titles like Gran Turismo were not allowed to feature Ferraris. Over the years, the company has been more open to licensing to video game companies, culminating in Ferrari featuring in the world's biggest Battle Royale game.
