FIFA is back with a new arcade football game, but there’s no PC version announced

FIFA has officially thrown its hat back into the video game ring following its high-profile split with EA. The organisation has announced a new arcade-style football game called FIFA Heroes, which is being developed by Enver Studio and is scheduled to launch in 2026.

Unlike the simulation-heavy games that used to carry its name, FIFA Heroes is a 5-on-5 arcade experience. The developers are promising “epic power moves” and dynamic physics, with both a PvE career mode and multiplayer planned. The announcement trailer, however, was purely cinematic, focusing on the atmosphere of street football and not showing any actual gameplay footage beyond the main menu.

The game's most unique feature appears to be its roster. Players will be able to create teams from a mix of real-life football legends, “well-known fictional characters”, and, for the first time, official playable FIFA mascots. The first three mascots confirmed are from the host nations of the 2026 World Cup: Maple for Canada, Zayu for Mexico, and Clutch for the USA, each with their own special abilities.

While the game is slated for a wide release on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and mobile platforms (iOS and Android), a PC version was conspicuously absent from the announcement. As of now, there has been no word from FIFA or the developer on a potential PC port, which will be a significant disappointment for a large part of the football gaming community.

KitGuru says: It's an interesting new venture for the FIFA brand, but we'll be keen to see some actual gameplay and get clarification on a potential PC release in the future.
